Luxurious Riverside Retreat – Eco-Lodge Accommodation
Our most recent accommodation, The Lodge is
beautifully appointed, light and spacious, with wonderful indoor-outdoor
living; uninterrupted views to the river from every room; soaring
cathedral ceilings, polished wooden floors and rugs, cosy wood
fire; well appointed kitchen and luxurious modern bathrooms and
romantic spa bath. Windows and doors from every room open onto
the lawns and passion fruit vines and jasmine shade the bbq and
outdoor seating area. The Lodge is relaxing, romantic and peaceful.

Log Fire and Spa Bath
The master bedroom with its super king bed,
luxurious linen and beautiful east and north facing views offers
space, peace and privacy. The large modern en suite bathroom is
designed for relaxation and has a spacious spa bath, double sinks
and separate shower. A second king or twin bedroom at the opposite
end of the living area also opens directly into the gardens, and
has its own private bathroom, bath and shower. The spacious north
facing open plan living room has a cosy wood fire, luxurious leather
sofas, amazing cathedral ceilings and wonderful views. The open-plan
kitchen is large, beautifully appointed and fully equipped for
self-catering with gas hob and oven, dishwasher, espresso coffee
machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, utensils and crockery etc.
The Lodge is TV free, and is equipped with a
CD player and i-pod dock, relaxing candles, fresh flowers and
magazines. A DVD player is available on request. High speed Broadband
Internet and WiFi are available in The Lodge and free local calls
from the office. The Lodge is connected to mains power.
Guests at The Lodge have access to all the amenities
at Takou River including the free kayaks, canoes and fishing rods,
beautiful riverfront, secluded swimming spots, 5 acre sub-tropical
gardens and Boat House, 150 acre organic farm, native bush and
of course the beautiful deserted sandy beaches a short paddle
downstream at Takou Bay.
